Potagel Suspension

Used in adults to relieve pain related to the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum, for acute and chronic diarrhoea in adults, and for acute diarrhoea in children aged 24 months and over.

Anwendung

Adults take 3 g at a time, three times a day. For the first three days of acute diarrhoea the daily dose may be doubled. For oesophagitis take it after meals; for other conditions take it with meals and between meals. Children aged 24 months and over take 6 to 9 g a day in three divided doses for three days, then 6 g a day in three divided doses for the next four days. Shake the suspension well before taking it.

Vor der Anwendung

Children under 24 months, women who are pregnant or may be pregnant, and women who are breastfeeding must not take this medicine. Before taking this medicine, consult a doctor or pharmacist if you are hypersensitive to it, if you have severe chronic constipation, or if you have had a bowel obstruction. Keep to the stated dosage and directions. Children should take it under the supervision of a guardian. If dehydration occurs, replace fluids appropriately.

Nicht zusammen anwenden mit

This medicine is adsorbent, so taking it with other medicines can affect how much of them is absorbed and how quickly. It is best to leave an interval between doses.

Mögliche Nebenwirkungen

Stop taking this medicine immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist if you experience abdominal bloating, vomiting, constipation, hives, rash, itching or angioedema.

Store at room temperature. Keep out of reach of children.
